January 2012 Empire STEM Newsletter

Dear Friends,
Empire STEM's first newsletter of 2012 features perspectives for the year ahead on discovering "systemness" and sealing the leaks in New York State's education pipeline from our new home at the State University of New York.  Also featured is our first region-to-region STEM Learning Tour that introduced a study group from the Finger Lakes region to the Central New York STEM Hub, hosted by the East Syracuse Minoa Central School District and Siemens.  Follow the links to explore upcoming statewide and national STEM learning opportunities that span the next six months along with our recent Tweet on a new national compendium of 2012 STEM funding opportunities.  Thanks as always to our many contributors and to SUNY for its warm welcome!
